For about the same price as better stock cabinetry from a big box store, Warehouse Cabinets can custom make gorgeous heirloom-quality cabinets instead.

Whether you’re just getting started in the home building process or you’ve realized that home remodeling is in your future, one of the most important aspects to consider is the design of your new kitchen.
More than likely, you’ve spent countless hours paging through home decor magazines in search of inspiration and designs that are within reach. After all, most of us have a budget to consider.
In the past, the idea of having your dream kitchen customized to the exact needs of you and your family may have sent a shudder up your spine. Those kinds of kitchens are only for people with unlimited funds.

Or are they?

“Everyone wants to have their new kitchen installed with as much value as possible,” says Don Cochran, founder of Warehouse Cabinets. “Now we’ve made it possible for any homeowner to have the kitchen they’ve been longing for—custom designed and custom built for a lot less than they might think.”

You may already know that a new kitchen offers nearly a 100-percent return on your investment. But, what if you plan to stay put and enjoy your new family gathering place for many years to come? As a wise consumer, you will find that the intrinsic value of fine custom cabinetry is that they will be the last cabinets you need to buy.

You will want to make sure that the design for your new cabinets is not only very appealing, but that it also will serve the needs of everyone who will use the space. Warehouse Cabinets’ team assures you that your new kitchen will not only be drop dead gorgeous, it will be functional and well organized as well.

“Most homeowners want their design to be personal,” explains Don, who will ship over 1,000 kitchens this year. “Before we even begin the process, we find out about your lifestyle, what kind of food you like, how you entertain, whether you have a two-cook family, if a grill and conventional cook top are required and if you work outside the home. All of these things will determine how the cabinetry is designed and constructed.”

And unlike a visit to a big box store for a design consultation, the Warehouse Cabinets’ team asks that you invite them into your home so they can see firsthand where each piece should go.
Naturally, they carry a magnificent line of better, manufactured cabinets from popular brands like Kraftmaid, Embassy, Medallion, Cardell and Shiloh, but it’s their new Amish-built line of Buckeye Cabinetry that’ll really kick your pulse rate up. They’re gorgeous and affordable, and Warehouse Cabinets is the only place you can find them.

“A custom kitchen design costs about 20-percent more than our better stock cabinetry,” Don calculates. Better stock cabinetry at Warehouse Cabinets is offered at prices that are lower than the same pieces found at a national chain. Our delivery time is competitive as well. If you begin the process soon, your new cabinets can be designed, custom built and installed in time to enjoy for the holidays.

It’s difficult to imagine that cabinets containing the level of craftsmanship and quality that goes into every piece of Buckeye Cabinetry would be affordable to everyone.

And yet they are.

“Each cabinet is created to be an heirloom-quality piece of furniture,” Don describes. “They are intended be handed down through the generations of a family. That’s how magnificent each piece is—you will never find them in a landfill.”

It is a rare gift to own anything that has a story and a history behind it, as well as having been created with the loving touch of human hands. Every piece of Buckeye Cabinetry offers that, and more.

“All of the wood is grown in responsibly managed Amish forests located in Pennsylvania and Ohio,” Don shares. “The Amish were ‘green’ long before the term became popular. These are forests that have remained in single families for generations. The result is wood that is all premium-grade, without knots and discoloration.”

After meeting with one of the Warehouse Cabinets’ designers to establish your design, you select the hand-sawn species of wood—typically oak, cherry, or maple—that will be used to build your cabinets. Then, samples are made based on ideas you might have for finish, color and texture. “Your choices are virtually limitless,” Don beams. “These are options that aren’t even in the realm of stock cabinetry.”

Design features like the depth, width and location of each cabinet are determined, and then the work begins. Because each cabinet is bench-built by Applecreek Amish craftsmen (as opposed to assembly line construction) every part of every cabinet is handcrafted. It’s the opportunity to add high-end and high-quality pieces to your home, at a much better price.

Any glass that is used in your cabinet doors will have been handmade. Any baskets featured in your cabinets will have been hand-woven by Amish women. Sawdust created during the construction of your cabinets will be used as bedding in horse stables, and the wood scraps will be taken home to keep the fires in Amish kitchens burning brightly—sweetly intertwining your family with another.

Because the Amish come to work in buggies and they have no delivery vans of their own, Warehouse Cabinets makes the trip to Amish Country to pick up your completed cabinetry, which has been blanket wrapped to ensure a safe journey with no wasted packing materials.

Once your cabinets arrive, you might ask that your countertop installation be delayed just a bit so that you can pause to admire the painstakingly constructed English dovetail and mortise and tenon joinery of your cabinets. No glue or staples are ever used. “Many of our clients say it’s a shame to cover up the quality of the construction with the countertops,” Don laughs.

Gently run your fingertips across the grain and you’ll know that much time of hand sanding went into every inch of surface area and that a seven-step finishing process—rivaling anything available in the industry—completed your heart’s desire. Even prestigious inset doors that create a flush cabinet face are available.

Then remember that one man worked on every piece now sitting magnificently in your new kitchen so that everything would be perfectly matched.
“These are one-of-a-kind pieces,” Don promises. “and everything about them is unique to you.”
