Pet Day at Canal Park

On August 14th, fans and their pets will “woof- woof- woof for the home team” at an Akron Aeros game!Tickets are sold at a discounted price and proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Greater Akron (HSGA).This is an inexpensive family/pet friendly event that also helps the HSGA continue to rescue thousands of animals each year.
The HSGA and the Akron Aeros partner each year to bring a pet friendly baseball game to the community.People and pets can enjoy a game together; side by side.This event helps raise funds and friends for the HSGA and its hundreds of homeless animals.
Pet Day at Canal Park features a pet parade on the field before the game, photos at home plate after the game, great raffles and merchandise and HSGA homeless animals will be there to find new homes. Summit County Division of Animal Control will also be present with adoptable animals and information.Nutro Pet Foods will be on hand with samples and advice on pet nutrition.Sincerely, Fido a pet greeting card company, Wash Wag, as well as other pet related vendors will be on hand with unique items.
Tickets for the event are $7 for people and $5 for pets.This price is well below the everyday $10 price.Tickets can be ordered by calling the HSGA at 330.657.2010 ext 104, online at www.summithumane.org, at the HSGA shelter at 4904 Quick Road in Peninsula and at both Towpath Credit Union locations.Tickets purchased at the gate that day are full price and will not benefit the HSGA.
