Affordable employee benefits

In the coming months, many group health plans will come up for renewal, so now is a good time to take a look at where you and your employees stand.

If you offer employee benefits, you already know that offering health coverage can mean the difference between retaining quality employees and having them jump ship to look for better employment options elsewhere. If you’re challenged by hefty costs, staying competitive in today’s work environment might be out of reach.

But HealthMarkets represents a number of different carriers, which means I can offer creative strategies to help you find benefit solutions that work with your need to keep costs in line, and your employees’ need to have coverage.

There are ACA-compliant plans that are community rated, which means everyone pays the same rate and the health of the group or the type of business you have are not factors. Typically, rates for these plans are a bit higher.

On the flip side, small-group plans like MEWA or level funded plans offer rate flexibility based on the health of your employee population. These plans can help you and your work force save on costs.

Alternatively, you can structure an HRA into which you contribute funds for your employees to purchase their own health insurance.

I can provide you with individual advisory to help you choose the plan that’s best for your organization, and, as always, my guidance is free.
