“I didn’t know you could do that!”

It’s a comment Brian Erickson, owner of the Floorz stores in Montrose and Strongsville, hears on a regular basis when talking to customers about luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and luxury vinyl plank (LVP).

“Most people only think of LVT and LVP as planks or tiles that mimic wood, stone or tile laid in a standard pattern straight across the floor. But what they don’t realize is that we can take those pieces and do some really creative stuff with them,” he says.

For example, Brian and his talented design team can create a look for your floor that includes darker LVT wood planks as a border, with lighter planks in the middle for a dramatic effect. They can put planks down at a 45-degree angle to add interest, or they can combine tile and wood looks in a manner that transitions, say, a kitchen into a dining room more cohesively. Brian says they love to create patterns with LVT because it gives them the opportunity to really flex their creative muscles—a kind of attention to detail you won’t find at most flooring stores.

“The design we create for your home using LVT is totally custom,” Brian notes. “Nobody else will have your particular look. It’s an opportunity to really add a high-end feel to any room—at an affordable price. LVT gives you the freedom to color outside the lines.”

And speaking of affordable, Floorz offers both products in a quality level to fit any budget, so everyone can enjoy their versatility, durability, designability and waterproof benefits.

And while LVT and LVP mimic the look of hardwood, stone or tile, they’re actually much more durable. “You don’t have to baby them the way you might with other types of flooring,” Brian inserts.

Leaders in LVT and LVP
While Floorz carries more than a dozen different brands of luxury vinyl tile, including its own in-house line, there are a couple names that rise to the top in terms of quality and durability.

CLEO Home offers a high-style line of LVT in planks with very unique characteristics. “With this line, it’s very difficult to tell the planks aren’t hardwood,” Brian notes. “That’s how exquisite they are.”

CLEO LVP planks are so glamorous, you can easily take them where other brands of vinyl plank can’t go, like into the bedroom or living room. Floorz can customize the look of your LVP and have it expertly installed before the holidays.

“CLEO vinyl planks are actually recommended for heavy domestic use, such as in the living room and halls,” Brian states. “And the range of colors and wood species is very contemporary.”

Another leader, Karndean, offers unique vinyl plank and tile styles that mimic wood and stone, and the results are spectacular. Offered in more traditional designs, Karndean LVT and LVP can kick up the “wow” factor in any room and works with any décor.

Put a Rug On It
Floorz takes the opportunity to customize the look of any room a step further by offering area rugs created to fit the size and design style of your choosing.

“Dalyn Rugs does exactly that,” Brian states. “This company has been in business for over 40 years and they know rugs.”

Offered in virtually every color and style imaginable, Dalyn Rugs offers true customization. “You pick your texture, pattern and colors, then you pick your size and they create the area rug to your exact specifications,” Brian says.

And in addition to the hundreds of other in-stock rugs, in varying sizes and colors available to grab-and-go from the Floorz showroom, Brian and his team can take any brand of carpeting and turn it into an area rug. “It’s just another opportunity to create a look that’s unique to you,” he says.

Free Design, Expert Installation
“We don’t hide installation charges in the price, or mark our flooring up so we can put it on sale. And because we buy direct, we’ve cut out the expensive middle man, something the box stores and other flooring warehouse-style stores can’t do,” Brian shares.

“Not only do we carry every major manufacturer in our store, and offer every available type of flooring, we’ll also meet or beat any competitor’s price.”

Brian says the installation is as much a part of the Floorz service model as is backing every purchase with superior customer service. “Our installers are seasoned professionals who work exclusively for us,” he shares.

And design help from a seasoned Floorz pro is available free of charge. “We’ll even come to your home and help choose the flooring that best reflects your taste and style,” Brian says.
