Before the floor goes down

When buying solid surface flooring, more goes into the purchase than meets the eye. In addition to choosing the color and style that works best for your space, you also have to take the installation into consideration.

Installing a solid surface material like hardwood, tile or laminate is like taking on a mini construction project. Proper preparation of the site prior to the install is key.

Unlike the box stores, we have a project manager who oversees every solid surface installation. Our installers have construction experience and are trained to fix any issues on the subfloor.

One client thought he could save money by prepping the floor himself. But when we got there, we discovered he’d missed pulling out nails, his floor wasn’t level and he had a small water leak that needed to be repaired, along with part of the subfloor. It took our crew about six hours to get the floor to where it needed to be before we could install his hard wood. In the end, he didn’t really save any money by trying to do it himself.

Choosing a flooring company with the experience to prepare the subfloor properly makes a world of difference in the way the finished project turns out. We have that experience, and we make it easy for you to enjoy your new floor.
