The award-winning Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern is celebrating its 15-Year Anniversary dishing up great food and good times at its cozy, comfortable, lodge-inspired restaurant – and you are invited to the year-long festivities.

Throughout 2019, this Twinsburg gem will feature special events offering ‘roll-back’ prices with apps and salads starting at just $7, fresh seafood selections from $18, beef tenderloin from $28 and their famous BC Burger at just $11.

To stay in touch, get event updates and make the Blue Canyon experience even more interactive and enjoyable is a new website, BlueCanyonRestaurant.com, that features their quarterly “Lodge Report” with notifications of special offers and events. Diners and VIP members can leave reviews, rate menu items, and make reservations.

Here is a taste of what is coming up:

Sunday Brunch
Weekly Sunday brunch is back by popular demand, with special brunches planned for Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. Regular brunch reservations are available from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with extended hours on holidays.

The grand buffet’s offerings rotate, but generally encompass selections such as breakfast meats, create-your-own omelets, pancakes, waffles, salad bar, pasta, chef’s creations, raw bar and pastries. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are also available.

Friday Lent Fish Fry
The highly anticipated Friday Lent Fish Fry runs every Friday from March 8 – April 29. Chef Scott Coffman’s family-style feast at $21 per person includes perch, soup, sides, and dessert.

St. Patrick’s Day
Traditional Irish fare will be dished up on Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Be sure to make reservations for that Sunday’s brunch, which will be Irish-themed.

Restaurant Week
Try a starter, entrée and dessert for just $33 per person during Cleveland Independents Restaurant Week. The event runs Monday, March 18, through Saturday, March 30.

More
Bluegrass fans will want to set a smartphone calendar alert for Tuesday, March 5. Lost Bob and the Ozone Ramblers bring their “Bluegrass and Newgrass” act to Blue Canyon Fun Night, from 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Of course, there is plenty to love about Blue Canyon every day of the year. Chef Coffman, along with Blue Canyon partner and executive chef Brandt Evans’s inventive and varied menu changes seasonally and relies on quality ingredients from trusted purveyors.

Fifteen years ago, restaurateurs Val Voelker (left) and his brother, Bob (seated) teamed up with Chef Brandt Evans to create Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern in Twinsburg. Now, they are rolling out the red carpet and introducing ‘roll-back’ prices in celebration.

Comfort food takes a starring role this winter with dishes such as veal schnitzel, served with herb spaetzle and arugula in mustard-caper butter sauce. Also hitting the spot is winter squash carbonara, a melange of roasted chicken, bacon, spinach and white beans in butternut squash-sage cream. A childhood favorite grows up with baked truffle mac ‘n cheese, a decadent dish chock-full of caramelized onions, gruyere and cheddar cheeses, wild mushrooms and pasta topped with toasted breadcrumbs.

Smiles are as abundant as the cocktails at Blue Canyon’s Happy Hour, voted the region’s best by Cleveland Magazine readers. It runs daily, from 4-6 p.m., and features a $3 discount on martinis and cocktails, $3 well drinks, $1 off wine glass pours, $1 off drafts and $3 and $5 bottled beers.

HorseShoe Club
Because Blue Canyon treasures its guests, it offers free HorseShoe Club memberships. Diners earn a point for each dollar spent on food at Blue Canyon. At 150 points, membership cards are credited 15 BC Bucks to apply toward the purchase of food. Diners who use their card on their birthday or anniversary earn additional BC Bucks, which can be redeemed at the restaurant for food.

The spacious 14,000 square foot restaurant, which includes the patio, opening late spring, can accommodate 550 diners. More intimate rooms can be created within larger dining rooms, so the restaurant never seems cavernous to smaller parties, but is versatile enough to host corporate events, showers or rehearsal dinners.
