Clothes Mentor is blowing out 10 candles on its anniversary cake this month. Owner Randi Zeid is deeply thankful to the scores of loyal fashionistas who have made the store the style destination it’s become.

“We’ve grown each year over the past decade,” she says. “We understand that our shoppers lives are always changing and that those changes bring on new needs for their wardrobes. Our cutting-edge wardrobe essentials seem to resonate with loyal shoppers. Many of our staff members have been here for eight to 10 years and get to know our customers and which styles work for them. The ladies are skilled at helping people put together smart looks that suit them.”

People aren’t shopping in malls like they used to. “Our store is clean, bright, organized and sophisticated…just like our customers,” Randi shares. “You’ll find all the latest ladies’ fashions in sizes 0-3X here at a fraction of the cost—70 percent less than mall prices.”

The ladies are gearing up for the big reveal of fall merchandise: jeans, coats, boots, shoes, sweaters, vests, cardigans, hoodies, hats, scarves, jewelry, backpacks and handbags.

Fall Fashion Alert
“Most of our customers are shopping for stylish looks that are also comfortable,” says Andrea Ritter, who manages the shop. She has her finger on the pulse point of fall fashions. Here are a few must-have pieces for every trend-conscious wardrobe:

  • Leggings paired with unconstructed tops and a scarf for a finished look
  • High-waisted “mom” jeans
  • Structured cardigans are the new blazer, perfect for the workplace yet oh-so comfy
  • Hot fall colors are navy (the new black), brown and army green
  • Camouflage in any shade is still popular

Handbags, Handbags, Handbags
“We buy and resell better brand name handbags,” says Andrea. “From Coach and Louis Vuitton to Dooney & Bourke, Michael Kors, Prada and Gucci, we have all the latest luxury styles and colors. Our hottest sellers right now are smaller cross-body styles that allow for easy access. Even satchels come with longer shoulder straps. Square shapes let the bag double as a laptop carrier.”

Bling is also big. The jewelry department is overflowing with costume to high-end boutique pieces, including Tiffany, Silpada, Chico’s and J. Crew.

Making Moolah
Most of us have taken pause during the stay-at-home order to clean out our closets. Sadly, a lot of us have put on a few lbs. during this time, too, and find the old wardrobe—even the fat pants—a little snug.

Want to clean up on what you cleaned out? Bring your clean, gently used clothing and accessories to Clothes Mentor and receive cash on the spot.

Why not pocket some fast cash by selling the clothes you no longer wear?

Unlike a consignment shop, Clothes Mentor pays you cash on the spot for the items they accept.

Just bring in your clean items in a laundry basket.

Though they purchase clothing and accessories from any season, anytime of year, now they are taking an interest in coats, jeans, pants, blazers, jackets, sweaters, long-sleeved tops and boots.
