Cory's Hair Studio & Day Spa is on the grow

Cory’s Hair Studio & Day Spa is on the grow again, welcoming two new hairstylists.

Carrie Jakubowski is a Toledo native who moved to Northeast Ohio in 2013 to study at the Aveda Brown Institute.

“I attended the University of Toledo studying various majors but never found what I really wanted to do in life,” she says. “I moved here to go to the Aveda Institute and found my passion. I love making people look and feel their best.”

Carrie specializes in hair color and also does pedicures. “I like vivid hair colors, as well as doing balayage and creating highlights,” she notes. “I also do grey blending and corrective color services.”

Also new on staff is Andrea Matos, who is an apprentice. She graduated from Paul Mitchell School this spring and is now mastering her craft at Cory’s.

“Beauty is my passion,” says Andrea, who loves working with color, whether balayage or makeup applications. “I’m happy to be doing what I love.”

In addition to hair care, Cory’s has an extensive spa menu featuring manicures, pedicures, facials, makeup and massages.

“In times when many businesses are closing, we are grateful for our clients who have supported our salon for the past 30 years,” says Corinne Calabro, salon owner. “It’s nice to see the community supporting local businesses.”
