If you’ve been to a certain retail store that offers “maximum” brand-name merchandise for the “minimum,” you’ve likely left empty-handed—and disappointed. It’s like the corporate buyers don’t even know we’ve been given the green light to shop. If you visited a second time, or a third, like I have, and also left empty handed, you might be scratching your head, wondering how on earth you’re supposed to complete an at-home, occasional night out or business casual wardrobe for fall without anything to pick from.

I’m about to give you some shopping intel that will not only satisfy your craving for fabulous fresh finds, you’ll also be able to save a boatload of cash when buying.

Gerri’s Closet, arguably the toniest consignment shop in the area, is practically bursting with fall and winter merchandise. All the brands you know, love, and often can’t afford are up for grabs. Think Coach, Ann Taylor, Vera Bradley, Michael Kors, Nike, Ugg, Tory Burch and more, and you get the idea.

“Our racks are full,” promises Gerri Talevich, the delightful owner of Gerri’s Closet and perhaps one of the most stylish people I’ve ever met. Always a fashion inspiration, Gerri is outfitted in head-to-toe pieces from her shop to give guests an idea of how to pull a look together. “We’re adding hundreds of items weekly.”

Virtual Shopping
Earlier this year, when Gerri was forced to close during the pandemic mandate, her creative juices kicked into overdrive. She launched a series of Facebook Live videos to highlight in-store offerings. Demand for her bubbly guide to the hottest fashion must-haves for less shows no sign of slowing down.

The live videos give Gerri an opportunity to connect with established and new customers alike, and she numbers each piece she showcases so shoppers can tag the items they covet. Gerri then sends a PayPal invoice and ships the finds directly to each person’s door. “I showed an assortment of colorful cashmere sweaters and one viewer bought them all,” she announced.

Gerri’s Closet has entered into a collaboration with, where you can sign up to receive discount coupons on a monthly basis.

Following the Gerri’s Closet Facebook page, or finding the store on Instagram, will keep you dialed in to the hottest arrivals. Gerri says she does videos a couple times a week. Her virtual Saturday stroll through the store, highlights various departments such as shoes and boots, handbags, jewelry, active wear, dresses, jeans, tops, home décor and more.

And, as is the hallmark of her business model, Gerri continues to offer a couple different departments at 20% off each day.

“Our consignors are women who love fashion and often embrace a trend before it hits Northern Ohio. They also cycle through their wardrobes quickly, refreshing their closets completely each season,” Gerri notes. “We get the highest quality merchandise and our customers enjoy a huge savings.”
