People can find relief for muscle spasms and muscle tightness right in their own backyard–in their hot tub.

Doylestown’s Vincent Hall was living in Columbus in 2010 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor—and the treatment did not go well.

“There were complications,” he explains, “including my body’s reaction to the radiation therapy. It killed part of my brain.”

As a result, Vincent lost all movement on the left side of his body.

“I went to physical therapy and had to learn how to walk again, and how to speak, and how to use my arm and my leg,” he says.

“I tried many different medications, but none of them helped enough to justify the side effects, which included tremendous water weight gain.”

Over time, Vincent’s movement returned and he recently relocated from Columbus to Doylestown to be near his fiancée. But he still suffers from severe muscle spasms and muscle tightness known as spasticity. He finds relief where many of our clients do.

In his hot tub.

“I literally use my hot tub every day, all year long,” he says.

“It relaxes all of my muscles and soothes my muscle pain and tightness. I get in the tub whenever I need to. Sometimes in the mornings. Sometimes after work.”

Vincent says that sudden temperature changes—characteristic of Northeast Ohio weather—can also cause him difficulty.

“If it’s 85 degrees one day and 65 degrees the next, my muscles get really stiff and I have headaches. The hot tub gets rid of that chronic pain,” he says.

My sister, Andrea, helped Vincent with his selection.

“She was very helpful,” he says.

“You could tell she had a lot of experience and knowledge. She knew the answer to every question I had and she guided me to choose the best hot tub for me. After about two weeks, I had an issue with air in the pump and the staff came out the same day I called and fixed the problem. Plus, they have the lowest prices on hot tub supplies and chemicals and they’re close to my house.”
