“If you can dream it, I can manufacture it.” ––Jeffrey Dube, Nouveau Jewelry

Local jewelry designer Jeffrey Dube’s motto, bestowed upon him by fans of his work, is the perfect description of the passion and dedication behind the design. In the jewelry business for over 40 years, Jeff started making his custom designs at the tender age of 15.

“My inspiration and ideas come from all around me. Nature, patterns, museums, history, et cetera…these all give me ideas for my work,” Jeff explains. “I incorporate a variety of mediums and styles in my jewelry to achieve truly unique designs.”

Jeff’s list of services is vast. Among them are jewelry repair of all types, antique jewelry restorations, stone cutting, stone setting, wax modeling, casting and molding services, jewelry photography and more.

“I mix an array of different metals—such as copper, silver and brass—then temper them into beautiful bracelets, necklaces, pendants, earrings and rings,” notes Jeff.

His custom designs are accentuated by detailed enamel, gemstones and other objects he’s found that round out the creation of his work.

Primarily a self-taught artist, Jeff has also taken courses at the Cleveland Institute of Art. He has mentored under several metalsmiths and artists in addition to his coursework and career experience.

Recently, Jeff designed some gorgeous creations inspired by the city and culture of Cleveland, showcasing landmarks such as Tower City Center’s Terminal Tower and the Hope Memorial Bridge’s “Guardians of Transportation” sculptures.

“This is a full-time career for me, as well as my passion,” Jeff smiles. “I am always searching to diversify and expand my portfolio, so I am always happy to take on custom creations.”
