Tailor-made for safe, socially distanced workouts, the newly opened Fitness Together personal training studio in Highland Heights offers one-to-one customized personal training in private exercise suites that are thoroughly sanitized between sessions.

Sean Sullivan, who operates successful studios in Concord, Fairlawn, Medina, Brecksville and Bay Village, says he’s had his eye on the perfect location to open a studio on the East Side for a long time.

“With Covid-19 having us all looking for ways to boost our immune system through exercise, we’ve already seen a nice group of clients come through the door,” he says. “And following the stay-at-home order, many people have let their workout schedule slide and put on a few pounds. No worries, we can get you back on track and into your pre-pandemic clothes.”Designing a Program Around You

During your initial consultation, your fitness level will be assessed and goals discussed. As your training progresses, your numbers are re-evaluated along the way.

Joining Sean on the team are Brooke Kozlowski and Rachel Pekarski, who are regional managers with the company.

These Success Stories Could Be Yours
After suffering from a heart attack and debilitating sciatica, 72-year-old Bob Fritz signed his own new lease on life at Fitness Together.

“After the heart attack, I knew I needed to regain control of my health,” says Bob. “I began working with the trainers here, making major improvements to my overall strength, conditioning, energy level and flexibility.”

To complement his training, he also took part in the Nutrition Together program, which is a science-based coaching program to encourage healthy eating behaviors.

“I went from a ‘meat and potatoes, plus dessert’ kind of eater, to someone who stopped and took a hard look at how food affected my quality of life,” says Bob.

He lost 85 pounds over the course of a year and his back is now pain-free. Also gone are the pre-diabetes and high blood pressure medicines he was taking.

For Sheila Rohal, a litany of back conditions caused more than just daily pain. Her doctors wanted to perform a heavy-duty surgery to implant a steel rod down her spine. She was taking pain medications that weren’t working.

Then she started training at Fitness Together.

“My trainer was patient and super motivating in planning my program,” she says. “All the movements were based on what I could and could not do. The exercises he takes me through have slowed the spinal deterioration thanks to building a strong and supportive core. And I’m completely off the meds. I don’t take so much as an Advil.”

Another nice benefit of her training at Fitness Together is that gradually, over the past few years, Sheila has shed 30 pounds from her petite figure.

Fitness Together is located next to Chipotle, just off 271, at 6267-A Wilson Mills Road in Highland Heights. Trainers wear masks at all times, thoroughly sanitize the suites between sessions and take temperatures and ask Covid-related questions of everyone coming into the studio.
