A wide body of groundbreaking studies have connected the holistic energy practice of Reiki to healing effects for body and mind. Traditional doctors and large-scale medical institutions are taking note.

With four advanced certifications under her belt, Reiki practitioner Naomi Wright is bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to AcuLaser Treatment and Wellness Centre in Brecksville.

“I’ve been studying natural, herbal medicine for more than 25 years,” says Naomi. “Reiki is not new. It’s been going on for thousands of years. It’s hard to describe to people how powerful it is to tap into the earth’s energy and watch it work through me to heal others. I went through an attunement process to be able to harness this energy.”

What a Reiki Session is Like

You’ll meet with Naomi and she’ll assess the areas you need the most help with. Lying fully clothed on either your back or your stomach atop a relaxing spa table, she’ll float her hands slowly over specific areas of your body, hovering several inches above.

“There is usually immediate relief, and then increasing relief over the next several treatments, although everyone is different,” she says.

She explains her personal “aha” moment came when she underwent Reiki treatment to work on her own anxiety, heart condition and smoking addiction.

“I knew what I was supposed to do with my life at that moment,” she says. “I wanted to give back to others so they could feel the improvement I felt through this healing energy practice. Having worked privately with clients, it’s exciting to now be working with people in a clinical setting.”

She mentions that her clients have felt relief from back pain and headaches as well as thyroid conditions, adrenal fatigue, digestive issues, anxiety and stress.

“Additionally, I offer a service that incorporates crystal work with Reiki to amplify the effects,” she adds.

Naomi also works with meditation and plans to kick off monthly group classes to help people learn how to meditate, uncover the effects it has on bringing body and mind together, and explore the power of crystals.

“People will learn to restructure their thought processes in a healthy and beneficial way,” says Naomi.

Watch their site and Facebook page for the schedule, which will be out soon.

Minimally Invasive Holistic Services

AcuLaser Treatment and Wellness Centre was founded by Luciana McCartney, who specializes in holistic, low-level laser acupuncture to stimulate pressure points in the body to produce a desired result. A few of her specialties include Cryoslimming and Immune Booster Acupuncture, as well as smoking cessation, weight loss, sugar detox and stress relief.

“Reiki is an important piece of putting together the puzzle here,” she says.

Joining laser acupuncture and Reiki services at AcuLaser are Pain Rehabilitation Coach Diane Salettel, and Massotherapist Lindsay Barringer, who targets therapeutic massage to provide healing benefits.

“I put this amazing team of ladies together to provide layers of distinctive and complementary wellness services,” she says. “They know their stuff and offer a myriad of powerful ways to help people become their best selves.”

Tucked away in a secluded red brick building surrounded by blooming trees, the spa-like retreat features five treatment rooms and a super chic lobby.
