University Heights is getting the bands back together in July. The city’s Summer Concert Series opens Thursday, July 7, and continues with concerts on Thursdays, July 14 and July 21, all starting at 7 p.m., at Walter Stinson Community Park in University Heights.

“We’re excited to bring the concert series back to Walter Stinson Park for the third time,” says Mike Cook, University Heights communications and civic engagement coordinator. “The beautiful outdoor venue provides an opportunity to continue to build a sense of community and introduce people from all over to our great city.”

There’s nothing like music to bring people together, and when that music is in a casual, outdoor setting, where neighbors, family and friends come together, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

“The concerts help showcase University Heights as a beautiful and vibrant place to live and a community with so much to offer,” says Cook. “Spreading the good word about this city has been a goal of the mayor since he was elected in 2017. We’ve got a great lineup of bands this year to help us do that and we can’t wait to see everyone here.”
