While the rest of the insurance industry is content to take it slow, Zinc Insurance embraces the idea of rapid and responsive service

By Seth Zaremba, Zinc Insurance

When I founded Zinc Insurance, I didn’t dive into the business with a desire to conform to the traditional model of what an insurance company should look like.

You know, the old house on the corner of a busy intersection with a sign out front, closed blinds and sometimes a car in the drive. I never sat idly by in a small office waiting for the phone to ring.

And I’ve never been content to make the people who depend on us conform to what the industry’s ideas are about how insurance products should be delivered and the customer serviced.

In a land where nothing ever really changes, I wanted Zinc to be the catalyst for redefining the way people think about insurance.

We don’t do what’s easy, and we don’t do what’s already been done. Instead, we infuse every interaction you have with us with a desire to serve you in the way you want to be served; to invest in your expectations and to deliver—more.

Service That’s Specific
We no longer compare ourselves to our own industry. Instead, we’re focused on delivering service the way Amazon, Nike and Tesla deliver service.

Right now, today, this minute; later tonight, right after the kids go to bed, at 4 a.m., Zinc will be available. We’re out to prove to the world that buying local, from the little guy, comes with big rewards.

We’re investing in technology that puts you in the driver’s seat. You don’t have to call us during the day or shoot us an email after hours. Instead you’ll be able to navigate your insurance policy and connect with us through an app, online, through social media, via text message—whatever method you prefer.

Plus, we’re launching a new website and will be adding features so you can view your policy, pay your bill and produce documents when it’s convenient for you.

We need to make it easy for you, and we’re committed to that.

Really Good People
Technology aside, we still need really good quality people to be there when our customers need us. People who understand that when you have an urgent question about coverage and need an answer, they’re there to guide you through the process and keep the waters calm.

That’s why, in addition to adding to our team, we’ve invested in creating an internship program to teach area students the different aspects of our business. We’re spending time today grooming the outstanding professionals we hope to hire from the community tomorrow.

Love Ya BVH
We’ve always been big supporters of the community, and that isn’t going to change.

To secure our spot on the business landscape for generations to come, we purchased a 147-year-old-barn and property at the corner of Avery Road and Rt. 82. Board by board we deconstructed the barn, and board by board we’ll put it back together when we begin construction on our new corporate headquarters on that site in 2019.

And we’re focused on staying true to other local businesses in Broadview Heights, which is why we work to channel dollars supporting them.

Taking it to the People
Zinc’s new old farm truck, Olive, is in the process of getting an artistic overhaul that pays respect to days gone by while representing our fresh presence in the community. Look for us at community events and be sure to stop and say hi.

We’re changing the customer experience—not at a glacier pace, but at a speed in keeping with your expectations and demands. It’s customer service, on your terms.

If you’d like to have an intelligent conversation about how Zinc is delivering on its promise to be different than other agencies in the insurance business, I invite you to give us a call.
