Whole Body Health introduces its Laser Acupuncture Allergy Removal program—and it’s a game changer

The sounds of spring abound—cheery birds chirping, busy bees buzzing and people sniffling and sneezing. It’s allergy season again.

This year you needn’t suffer, as the Whole Body Health clinic in Medina is introducing its Laser Acupuncture Allergy Removal program.

“Unlike traditional acupuncture, there are no needles,” says Dr. Alphonzo Monzo III, a naturopathic doctor who runs the program.

“I use a very low level light laser to penetrate the same acupuncture points a needle would to redirect and rebalance the system’s energy.”

To best understand the process, let’s define what causes an allergy. The body incorrectly perceives a trigger element, such as pollen, as a threat, and overproduces histamines to fight it, which causes sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes and other allergy symptoms.

Laser Acupuncture Allergy Removal works on any allergy, from molds and dust to foods, hay fever and pet dander. Dr. Monzo reports it has eliminated almost all of his patients’ allergies, with the exception of a few very serious cases of anaphylactic shock. It also works on sensitivities of the body, such as intolerance to dairy.

Before the program, Dr. Monzo tests each patient via biofeedback to see which allergies affect them the most. And they are tested after the program as well to make sure the sensitivities have cleared.

During a session, the patient is seated, wearing a light T-shirt and pants they can roll up to the knee. The laser is directed toward the acupuncture points on the torso, arms and lower legs.

“Patients don’t feel a thing during the 10- to 15-minute session,” he says. “Sometimes they might feel the energy being redirected if they are sensitive.”

The program takes 12 sessions to be effective, and he says most patients either never need a refresher or do so every few years.
