2nd Annual Trunk-or-Treat

Calling all local trick or treaters—prepare for a bewitching good time at Mentor Nissan’s annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 21 from 12 to 2 p.m. The dealership car lot will turn into a “trunk load” of treats as children dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes go from trunk to trunk gathering candy. The event will be held rain or shine and is free to all children and families to attend.

Along with candy collection, the event will feature local mascots, music, burgers and hot dogs, cider, a coloring contest and more. There will be three age categories for the coloring contest: ages 4-6, 7-9 and 10-13, with one winner per age group. Winners will receive a $25 gift card. The coloring page can be picked up prior to the event at the dealership or at the event’s coloring station. All entries must be submitted by October 21. Winners will be announced on Mentor Nissan’s Facebook page on October 23 and notified by phone.

“Our goal is to give back to the community we live in and service,” Mentor Nissan Managing Partner Ray Sminchak says. “Trunk-or-Treat does just that—a fun, free event for families, an additional opportunity for kids to wear their Halloween costumes and a great way for us to showcase the wonderful businesses and organizations we have right here in our community.”

Businesses and organizations are invited to join in on the fun and participate by decorating the trunk of their vehicle in Halloween-themed décor and passing out candy. Each decorated trunk is automatically entered into the Trunk Decorating Contest where one winner will receive a $500 donation and their name on the Trunk-or-Treat trophy.
