A Day of Hope is August 26, 2023
By Kelli Comer
When a person is down on their luck, sometimes a slight beacon of hope is all they have left to lean on. Local organization Hope Delivered has partnered with Convoy of Hope and is determined to be that glimmer of hope for local members of the community whose needs exceed their means.
The mission of Hope Delivered is to connect and unite the resourceful local community in order to provide services, resources and hope to those in need.
On Saturday, August 26, Hope Delivered will host A Day of Hope at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Painesville, located at 1301 Mentor Avenue. At A Day of Hope, sponsored by JustInTime Staffing and Lake County General Health District, community members in need can attend this open-to-the-public, free event to gain some of the support they are so desperately seeking.
The event includes grocery, clothing and shoe distribution, a hot meal, health and dental screenings, a job and resource fair, haircuts, family portraits and a kid zone featuring inflatables and crafts. There will be live music, prayer, testimonies of hope and much more for participants to enjoy.
At this event, resources can be found for seniors, veterans, addiction issues, mental health, poverty, medical issues, developmental disabilities, early intervention, pregnancy, education, faith and simply just support for those in need.
Hope Delivered is still accepting vendor and volunteer applications. For more information, visit Hope-Delivered.com, call/text 440-701-6942 or email them atteam@hope-delivered.net to sign up.
