A quarter century of care

Over the past 25 years, Avenues of Counseling and Mediation has helped thousands of people in Medina and Summit Counties and the surrounding areas with a wide range of mental health struggles.
Owner and founder Lisa Borchert-Hrivnak, LPCC, is a lifelong Medina County resident. Lisa started the practice with one small office and has grown it to two counseling locations, the second of which opened in Fairlawn in 2014, and the integrative wellness center Vivify Wellness at Avenues that opened in 2018. The businesses employ about 50 therapists of varying specialties and backgrounds.
Avenues of Counseling and Mediation offers mental health counseling for children, adolescents, adults, families and couples, divorce/general mediation and chemical dependency counseling. The practice provides a safe and non-judgmental space to heal and has witnessed great outcomes for clients with mental health and substance challenges.
Vivify Wellness at Avenues offers a synergistic menu of wellness treatments and services ranging from massage therapy and acupuncture to a salt room and infrared sauna, all designed to promote self care. The services at Vivify are wonderful stand-alone treatments to assist with relaxation, detoxification and overall wellness and are also an ideal complement to help people reach their existing mental health treatment goals.
