Beary Merry Market moves to La Vera
By Kelli Comer
If you’re stumped year after year on what to get that hard-to-shop-for person on your holiday list, the 37th annual Beary Merry Handmade Christmas Market has you covered—and then some.
Showcasing more than 60 talented artisans from Ohio and Pennsylvania, the Beary Merry Market is making the move to a new location in 2023, the La Vera Party Center at 32200 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills. Mark your calendars for your holiday shopping on Wednesday, November 29 and Thursday, November 30 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both days. Admission is $4. Lunch and dinner options catered by La Vera Party Center as well as pre-ordered family takeout dinners will be available on Wednesday November 29th.
The market features a myriad of well-appointed handcrafted items for your shopping pleasure, including repurposed furniture, Christmas décor, candles, personalize ornaments, Cleveland themed items, jewelry, ceramics, clothing, artwork, bath and body items and more.
Returning as the corporate sponsor of the event is Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations of Eastlake. They are sponsoring a $25 gift certificate door prize to a lucky shopper each hour. The Beary Merry Market collaborates with Asa Cox and Asa’s Angels, a support program for families in need in the community during the holidays.
Asa distributes more than 15,000 toys, helping more than 3,000 local families. Each person is interviewed and provides a wish list for their children. During the Beary Merry Market, toys will be collected for the annual Christmas Outreach Drive for Kids. Asa’s goal is to make all children smile on Christmas morning, with help from Beary Merry Market attendees.
