An ancient Ayurvedic proverb says, “When the diet is wrong, medicine is of no use; when the diet is correct, medicine is of no need.”

And that was long before fast food.

Today, we are witnessing an explosion in rates of obesity and chronic diseases never before seen in the history of our species. While some of these conditions are strongly related to obesity, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, severe arthritis and even certain cancers, we are also seeing dramatic rises in other serious health conditions, such as autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, digestive problems, skin issues, hormonal issues and so much more. And these diseases are increasing even among people who are not particularly overweight.

So, what’s causing this alarming trend? Though we may be inclined to blame genetics, we can’t. Our bodies and biology haven’t changed much in millennia, let alone the past 100 years.

What has undoubtedly changed, though, is our diets. We eat way too much ultra-processed foods loaded with sugar, oil, salt and all kinds of chemicals, and not enough whole plant foods. This unnatural diet messes with our metabolism, insulin function, hormones, alters our gut bacteria (microbiome), impairs our immune system, and much more.

I find it a bit strange that people readily believe a junk food diet leads to health problems but seem to have difficulty accepting that the reverse is true as well. Improving your diet resolves those same health problems.

The truth is, deep down most people really do know this, but have difficulty admitting it. Why? Because eating healthy in today’s fast-paced, convenience-oriented environment is not a skill that comes naturally. It needs to be learned and practiced until it becomes habitual and natural. That’s where we come in.

When you join our “Plants as Medicine” health transformation program, we work with you one-on-one to address your specific concerns and provide you with the education, support, and accountability you need for long-term success. I can tell you from experience, after working with hundreds of patients, that our approach is far more effective than conventional medical care. Since we address the dietary root cause of the problem, our patients routinely resolve their chronic conditions and get off medications, even if they had been struggling for decades.

Will you be our next success story?
