Josh Javins is Daveron Design + Build’s dedicated exterior specialist for outdoor living spaces. Josh has more than 20 years of experience in the products and installation process for decks, patios, fences, boat docks and more.
“The process starts with a phone call for a brief idea of your project’s scope,” says Josh. “A home consultation is next, when we discuss ideas in depth and I take measurements, go over budget and other practical details.”
Josh prides himself on his ability to ask the questions that help clients narrow things down and uncover what they really want.
“I take a very practical and straightforward approach that customers appreciate,” says Josh. “I listen first, then try and pinpoint your vision. No one likes to be sold. I supply information based on what the customer says.”
Josh covers things like how you’ll use the space, how long you plan on living in the house and any city or neighborhood regulations to take into consideration. Materials for your project, like Daveron-preferred TimberTech or AZEK composite deck material, with 25- to 50-year warranties and little maintenance, stamped concrete or pavers and wood, vinyl, aluminum and chain-link fencing, all are discussed with Josh in detail.
“We do outdoor projects all year long,” says Josh. “Some other companies only do this work in the warm months with subcontractors and seasonal hires. Our owners, Dave and Ron, do things the right way and take care of their employees. Our fence foreman and deck crew foreman have been with us for more than 10 years. That’s a tribute to Daveron as a company.”
Josh describes the deck and fencing projects as “a very straightforward process.”
“I don’t like surprises, and I know the customer doesn’t,” says Josh. “We’re helping people get more enjoyment out of their homes with friends and family. What could be better than that?”
