Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Kimberly Kraus not only helps deliver healthy babies but also focuses on women’s health—from child-bearing years to senior years.
“My mission is to help all of my patients age healthier and live longer,” says Dr. Kraus, whose patients range in age from teenagers to octogenarians. “I am always looking for innovative treatments when it comes to women’s health.”
This summer, Dr. Kraus started to offer the BioTE method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to treat everything from helping improve memory fog, hot flashes and night sweats to improving libido, increasing muscle strength and managing weight.
“I have been researching bioidentical hormones for years and now have found the best method to add to my practice,” she says. “These are identical to those made in our bodies and help protect the bones, the brain, the breast and the heart.”
The bioidentical hormone pellets are customized to each individual and placed subcutaneously in the body. Once placed under your skin, the pellets are absorbed into your body based on cardio output movement. Since the treatment bypasses your liver and kidneys, there are none of the side effects that are sometimes reported with oral pills.
Patients simply come in for bloodwork and then the results are sent to the lab, which tailors the pellet to each individual.
“These bioidentical hormone pellets are beneficial to both men and women,” notes Dr. Kraus. “Many of my patients bring in their husbands after they experience such amazing results.”
“More than 66 million BioTE pellets have been used worldwide, so this company is a leading provider,” says Dr. Kraus.
In addition to BioTE, Dr. Kraus also offers other innovative treatments, such as the MonaLisa Touch, which is used to treat vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, urinary incontinence and lichen sclerosus, as well as Morpheus8 whole-body, fractionated anti-aging skin remodeling that helps build collagen and elastin.
