While many local podiatrists are limiting the number of patients they see, and not taking on new ones, Dr. Danielle L. Shaper, founder of Finesse Footcare in Lyndhurst, is expanding her practice hours.

“We appreciate that a large segment of our patient population is at-risk or high-risk for falling ill with Covid-19,” she says. “That’s why we’ve gone far beyond what’s expected in terms of sanitation and protocols so our patients feel safe.”

She explains that every surface of the office that can be touched is sanitized between visits, and they make sure to stagger patients as needed so they can’t cross each other in the waiting room or hallway.

“We’ve increased our office hours to see more patients and keep up with the demand,” she says. “We will also soon be moving to an office space more conducive to increased patient volume.”

Since opening the practice last fall, breakthrough technology has been a mainstay for Dr. Shaper. Within the past several months, she has introduced two new minimally invasive treatments to the area: the FDA-cleared Lunula cold laser for toenail fungus and Radial Shockwave Therapy for chronic foot pain.

Through state-of-the-art digital X-rays, she gets a clear picture of each patient’s foot structure in an effort to pinpoint a diagnosis and customize a course of treatment.

Dr. Shaper treats foot and ankle issues including heel pain, toenail fungus, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, corns, warts, calluses, sprained ankles, diabetic footcare and spurs. She also provides routine foot care.

“Routine care is not something that should be delayed, as doing that could lead to more serious conditions or potential infections,” says Dr. Shaper. “I hope if people are having difficulty getting into their podiatrist during these uncertain times, they know they can feel comfortable and safe coming here.”

Finesse Footcare is located at 5035 Mayfield Road in Lyndhurst. Same-day appointments are usually available. The practice accepts a wide variety of insurance plans. Call 216-382-8070, or visit FinesseFootcare.com for more information.
