Floorz delivers so much more than you expected
By Beth Newcomb
There’s nothing wrong with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s a tasty treat on a warm summer day, and it’s the second hand that claps in a root beer float. But most of us crave that something more, like a delicate lemon gelato, or a waffle cone piled high with handcrafted peanut butter chocolate chunk and pecan praline. And we appreciate more the experience of visiting a local creamery—the place where service comes with a smile and families have perfected the art of blending cream and sugar to create frozen confections.
For most of us, making a purchase that includes that “something more” often makes our lives better.
That’s the feeling customers who shop at Brian Erickson’s Floorz—with a fresh location in Mayfield Heights launched earlier this year—have come to appreciate.
“It’s not a stretch to say we’re going to change the way you live,” Brian promises. “You can go anywhere to pick out carpeting or tile. When you come to one of our Floorz stores, the buying experience is dramatically elevated.”
Brian says his newest Floorz store in Mayfield Heights is the jewel in his three-store crown. “We continue to add even more technology and customer-centric tools to make buying flooring not only easier but also more fun,” he says.
Life Solutions
Most people know what they like, but they don’t know how a particular type of flooring will function in their home or area of use. They also may not be aware of the variety of options out there. That’s where the talented team at Floorz comes in.
“When you arrive, you’ll enjoy a friendly greeting by one of our team members,” Brian shares. “Here we have three degreed interior designers to help you select the right flooring for your room, taste, lifestyle and budget. You’re not just meeting with a commissioned salesperson. Our designers are committed to helping your vision come to life or providing inspiration for a new direction.”
“Your flooring can do more than simply replace something that’s worn or outdated,” he continues. “It can also make life easier.”
That Something Different
Beautiful vignettes have been arranged to highlight the different types of flooring available.
In addition to classic lines like Karastan, Mohawk and Shaw, Floorz also delves into the boutique lines, like Godfrey Hirst, Stanton, Emser, SoHo Mosaics and Karndean Design Luxury Flooring among others. In fact, so impressive is the selection at Floorz that interior designers regularly send their clients here. “If you’re looking for the distinctive and unique, we’ve got that,” Brian promises.
In addition to carpet brands that span the affordable to the luxurious, Floorz also features several different lines of tile, hardwood flooring, laminate, area rugs and luxury vinyl. “We’ve got thousands of styles to choose from,” Brian shares.
Shop With Ease
Because Floorz is committed to staying ahead of the pack, Brian continually adds technology to make the shopping experience easier for customers.
When you visit the Mayfield Heights store, QR codes are affixed to each product. Simply scan the code and get all the pricing information and product details you need. You can also get a “room view” to see how that product looks in a space.
Visit the Floorz website to upload a picture of your space to see how the product you’ve been eyeing will look before you buy. You can also take any of the flooring selections from the store home with you to see how they’ll work in your room and with your lighting.
No-Limits Service
“We have a management team in place, a full-time warranty administrator, designers and installation crews dedicated to operational excellence,” Brian says. “Every part of every project is integrated into cloud technology so any person within our organization can access the job. That way, our customers can be kept informed. Our focus is solely on the customer.”
A state-of-the-art warehouse located in Brecksville houses millions of square feet of project material and every job, down to the last nail, carpet tack or tube of caulk, is prepped before it ever enters a customer’s home. That way, there’s never an interruption on the job because of missing materials. And on any given day, professional installers and crews working exclusively for Floorz are spread across Northeast Ohio, making sure each job is completed without delay while including the white-glove service the company has become known for.
Becoming the Best
“We didn’t just throw a store out there and start selling flooring,” Brian says. “We created the operational framework to ensure we were the best before we ever opened our first location. We created a formula and have the buying power to secure as much inventory as possible in bulk, so if a customer wants to have one of our more popular products installed, there’s no wait and they can enjoy greater savings.”
Products within the Floorz stores have been hand-selected to represent the very latest and best the flooring industry has to offer, and Brian says he’s proud of the white-glove service reputation his stores enjoy.
“It’s how we’ve made a name for ourselves,” he says. “People vote with their money, and we’re humbled and grateful to have risen to the top as a result. Here you’ll find the best designs, the best products, the best service, and the best value—and that’s never going to change.”
