Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired in these COVID-19 times? The Lake County YMCA invites all in the community to participate in a free six-week Reset challenge designed to help transform spirit, mind and body.
“It is time to focus on ourselves once again. Now, more than ever before we need to recharge and refocus,” said the Lake County YMCA President and CEO Dick Bennett. “The COVID-19 pandemic has taken the wind out of all our sails. It’s isolated us in so many ways. Offering this challenge to our entire community provides an opportunity to get active and healthier together even if activities are done apart.” Virtual spaces have been created for all participants to engage through and push each other to their fullest potential.
You can opt-in to the free challenge by texting RESET to (866) 434-0812. Follow the prompts to sign-up for the challenge. The challenge will begin February 1st. Participants will receive three texts a week filled with motivation for the week, challenges to participate in, and workouts to get all to 150 minutes of movement. The Lake County YMCA will be offering a wide variety of on-demand classes, pre-recorded workings and static workouts for those participating in the challenge.
To participate in the Reset challenge, the Y also encourages you to include a variety of outdoor activities, like pop-up classes and nature walks. Visit the website lakecountyymca.org and learn more about the Reset challenge and all of the free community activities. It’s the perfect time to take back our lives, reenergize, achieve goals, feel better and stronger.”
