Getting the most out of Disney
By Jackie Klemenc, Disney Specialty Travel Agent
Over the past 50 years, Walt Disney World has earned a reputation for casting enchantment and magic.
When people start feeling sticker shock, sometimes they make unwise decisions to cut corners. One of the biggest mistakes I see them make is not staying on Disney property. They think they’ll save money by finding a cheaper hotel or Airbnb nearby.
My job is navigating clients through complex vacation planning to get the best value and experience.
There are many reasons why staying on-property is an important part of your vacation:
- Transportation – When you stay at a Disney property, they provide complimentary transportation to the parks. If you don’t, you have to rent a car and pay for parking.
- Convenience – With the monorail and skyliner, it’s easy getting back and forth to the parks. Maybe one member of your family feels like a nap, he or she can pop back to the hotel while the others remain in the park. If you’re staying off-property, that wouldn’t happen.
- Enjoyment – Staying on-property means you receive additional “magic hours” to enjoy the parks before or after regular hours, which means shorter lines and less waiting. You also get to more fully immerse yourself in the Disney experience with themed rooms and top-notch recreational activities and amenities, such as amazing pools and waterslides at each resort.
In the end, I can usually find my clients the best deals on hotels, and give guidance on restaurants to take their vacation to the next level. Just give me a call, and let the magic begin.
