What do your window treatments say about you? Sleek and sophisticated? Modern and monied? Drab and dated? Missing in action?

“Custom window treatments check a lot of boxes for any homeowner,” says Jennifer Tama, who owns Gotcha Covered of Medina. “They ensure privacy and safety, allow the desired amount of light to enter a room, and add a sense of style that’s reflective of the client, one that complements the rest of the décor in a home.”

As a trained design consultant, she has an artistic eye and a passion for helping people create a stylish haven through just-right shades, shutters, blinds and draperies that fit every style and budget.

What’s trending in Northeast Ohio?
“Roller shades are my most-asked-for product,” says Jennifer. “People want modern, clean lines. Shades provide both privacy and light-blocking and blend with any style, from vintage to modern farmhouse. My clients also love shutters, which have a sort of southern warmth and charm. The new iterations of shutters come in wood, composite and polyresin. And since shutters are considered a structure, they actually add value to your home.”

Smart homes are getting more and more popular. Jennifer works with several manufacturers that offer motorization.

“My clients like to program when their blinds are raised or lowered,” she says.

People love the look of fabric drapes, too. Jennifer reports that the drapes she’s creating are mostly side panels to add accent color, softness and sophistication to a room.

“Whatever the best treatment, my clients appreciate that since I represent lots of manufacturers, I can fit specialty windows and do just one window or a whole house,” she says.
