Hamlet at Chagrin Falls offers seniors the opportunity to carve out the life they want to live within a safe and supportive haven

Independence is something we spend a lot of time trying to gain. Once we have it, we spend even more time trying to keep it. Independence can start to wane, slowly at first, then more rapidly as the years go by.
Hamlet at Chagrin Falls has one very specific goal for independent living residents at its 47-acre natural, peaceful community in Chagrin Falls.
“We want you to be able to live the life you’ve always imagined for yourself,” Nadine Hoffman, director of sales, says. “This can mean different things to different people, but at the core of that dream life is independence. At Hamlet, our residents stay active, involved and engaged in the community without the worries of daily living.”
Hamlet offers independent living, assisted living and memory care at its sprawling campus in the heart of the bustling, charming village of Chagrin Falls. The 138 senior independent living apartments and villas are surrounded by natural views. Residents can choose a stand-alone villa home or one of the many spacious apartment floor plans.
“No matter what type of residence suits your needs, you will be surrounded by large windows with gorgeous natural views greeting you each day,” Nadine says. “Our residents particularly enjoy their front seat to the changing seasons here. It is a truly a unique setting that encourages activity and engagement with neighbors who become friends.”
Hamlet independent living residences range from 650 to 1,800 square feet of space in nine different styles and layouts. The 12 buildings each have 12 apartments, making it easy to meet your neighbors for coffee or cocktails on the communal patios or enjoy walks together through the grounds to take in the scenery.
“This layout is unique to Hamlet,” Nadine says. “The smaller individual buildings promote independence while also maintaining that sense of community. Neighbors check on neighbors offering help when needed and encourage and support independence for everyone.”
Whatever it is you’re interested in, Hamlet probably offers that, too. With more than 10 activities available to residents each day, there are constant opportunities for social engagement and physical and mental exercises.
“We offer trips to museums, concerts, restaurants, shopping trips and so much more,” Nadine says. “Just get on the bus right outside your building and off you go.”
And along with daily activities, the chef-inspired meals at Hamlet are served in the dining room, or, if you wish, just order off the menu and a staff member will deliver the meal right to your apartment.
“This is true fine dining,” Nadine says. “And, of course, each apartment has a complete kitchen if you love to cook. Again, it’s all about independence here. We also love to frequent the local restaurants in Chagrin Falls. Our residents are a big part of the surrounding community and take part in all the local happenings.”
Each year, Hamlet hosts the Chagrin Falls High School Art Show on the first floor of the Atrium building. Residents volunteer at local events like Art by the Falls, Chagrin Falls Home Tour and more.
“There are so many special and unique opportunities to remain engaged and active because of our proximity to Chagrin Falls,” Nadine says. “We encourage people to come and visit, experience everything that life at Hamlet has to offer and plan your independent future with us.”
