Cooler mornings, the rumble of school buses, the tweet of referee whistles all add up to one thing: Fall is almost here. And that means it’s time to clean and seal your concrete surfaces to protect them from winter’s freeze-thaw cycle.

Pristine Clean founder Ken Wilson

“Concrete is porous,” explains Pristine Clean founder Ken Wilson. “When water enters those pores and freezes, it expands by ten percent, which shatters the concrete. That’s why our Concrete Wash & Seal is so important. We clean your driveway then seal it to prevent water from getting into your concrete and freezing.”

Of course, there is still many weeks of gorgeous weather ahead, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy outdoor activities in your lawn and garden with a beautiful, clean home as a backdrop.

In addition to concrete, the technicians at Pristine Clean are busy all spring, summer and fall cleaning and sealing siding and roofs, too. Here’s how they do it effectively, affordably, and safely.

A Safe, Soft Wash

Inexperienced operators and/or antiquated equipment rely on extremely high pressure to remove grime, mold, and mildew, but that’s how damage can occur. “You really shouldn’t just blast it away like that,” explains Pristine Clean founder Ken Wilson. “We use a procedure known as a ‘soft wash.’ That means our equipment relies on greater water volume rather than high pressure to do the job. We also treat your home with a safe and effective mildewcide that softens the mold, mildew and grime before we turn on the machines. The result is a clean home without the dangers of high pressure.”

As with any powerful equipment, knowing how to use it is important. That’s why Pristine technicians undergo both classroom and in-the-field training, including a comprehensive apprenticeship program.

Using the Right Sealant

After power washing comes the important task of sealing your siding, roof or concrete surfaces. “It’s best to use only the highest quality sealers and protectants,” Ken says. “For your siding, we use a surface protectant that acts as a barrier on the home to help it look and stay cleaner longer. For our concrete washing and sealing service, we use the highest quality silane/siloxane sealer, which penetrates deep into the concrete aggregate to protect it from within. And for your roof, we can apply a soy-based shingle rejuvenation that will bring your shingles back to their original flexibility and function. That service is called Roof Renew.”

Respectful and Affordable

All this attention to quality and safety is one reason the company has grown to become the largest locally owned power washing company in Northeast Ohio with more than 1,000 Google reviews and a virtually perfect 4.9-star average rating.

Another reason is Pristine’s culture of respect. “Thousands of families rely on us every year to wash their homes and we take that responsibility seriously,” Ken says. “We value and respect you, your family, your pets, your property, as well as the safety and dignity of our employees. And that’s also why we offer a flat-rate, upfront quote based on the square footage of the job. That means everyone gets the same low rate. You pay what your neighbors pay.”

Headquartered in Berea, Pristine Clean beautifies homes throughout Northeast Ohio. It is highly rated on Google, Facebook, and HomeAdvisor, and rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau.
