Helping you understand the differences between healthcare options
By Ben Siegfried, HealthMarkets Insurance Agency
Over the last year, many people may have found themselves permanently or temporarily out of work. With life as we know it back in full swing, a return to a previous job or the start of a new one may be on your horizon. If it is, healthcare benefits will likely play a role in your decision-making process.
Some employers offer the traditional co-pay-based health insurance, others have adopted an HSA-based format, and still others offer no health insurance but provide the funds to purchase coverage on your own.
So, which is the best option for you? That’s where I can help. I’ll sit down with you and review your health history, medications, budget, and the cost of the plan(s) you’ve been offered, then help you not only understand the differences between the options, but also decide which is best for you and your family.
Many times it makes sense to choose your employer-sponsored healthcare coverage, but there are occasions when it may not.
We can also take a look at the supplemental offerings from your employer, things like life insurance, dental and vision. Sometimes it makes sense to purchase supplemental plans through an employer, other times it doesn’t. Take life insurance, for example. If you separate from your employer, does the insurance go with you or does it end? This might be important for you to consider.
Give me a call to review your options. My guidance is always free of charge. And, congratulations on your new beginning.
