Celebrating her one-year work anniversary next month with eXp Realty, Amy Hoes and her top team are gearing up for the insanely busy spring selling season. But for them, the activity never cooled down over the winter.

Amy is humble and sweet, never one to brag as much as she could about her sales numbers. Her team is in the top one-half percent of all agent teams in the country according to RealTrends rankings, and for good reason. They have consistently outproduced their competition through shrewd marketing systems and spending more on smart social media campaigns to put a home in front of the right potential buyers.

“For us, eXp Realty is the perfect combination of a company culture where modern technology and real, old-fashioned customer service meet,” says Amy.

Along with her husband, Kurt, who helps with her numbers and reports, Amy is relentless when it comes to researching the industry to decipher emerging trends.

For instance, they monitor what’s going on in other parts of the country, such as the West Coast and East Coast.

“The local real estate picture doesn’t actually match the national one,” she says. “In places like Idaho, Florida, California and Arizona, they are seeing price drops in home values,” she says. “But here in Medina, inflation and rising interest rates have not caused our market to slow a bit. We’re still seeing multiple offers and houses not staying on the market for very long. And home values are remaining very strong.”

One of the biggest constraints to the market is the lack of homes for sale.

“In Medina County, in January 2023 there were 52% fewer homes for sale than January 2019,” she reports. “We feel that going forward, the rise in interest rates will not have a big impact on the market, which we feel will stay stable for quite a while.”

The lack of homes in inventory means that timing is everything to a deal.

“We know how to be nimble and get our clients into homes for sale as quickly as possible,” she says. “Shrewd negotiating helps our clients get into the home of their dreams, as well as attract the most money and best deals for the home they are selling.”

Upon graduation from BGSU, Atalie Hoes (left) will increase her involvement with her mom’s The Amy Hoes team eXp Realty.

What’s it Worth?
There’s an instant tool at AmyHoes.com to give you a rough estimate of your home’s market value, but Amy or any member of her team like to take the time to walk through your home.

“Every property has its unique something special,” she says. “I or one of my team members can do a better job of coming up with the ideal selling price after we do a walk-through. People often ask me for advice if they should wait or put their home on the market. The answer is do it now. You never know what the future will hold.”

Community and charitable involvement have always been pursuits of Amy and Kurt, especially in Medina’s schools and sports teams. Look for their daughter Atalie, who is currently a junior at Bowling Green State University, to increase her involvement in the world of real estate after graduation. And son Bryan, who is now a senior at Medina High School, owns several businesses, including car detailing and vinyl wraps. This is one enterprising family.
