How to rethink the fall season

Fall is my favorite season, but for many people the season brings to mind death and the cold and darkness of the upcoming winter.

But I don’t see it that way. Fall isn’t the end of anything; instead, it is the beginning of renewal, and the world must go through renewal to be reborn in the spring.

The autumn color tells me this renewal is beginning, and that makes fall a joyous time.

Autumn is also a sign that the holidays are coming, the season when time moves quickly because we’re so busy. One thing turns into the next, and suddenly, it’s January 2 and we’re exhausted. The key is to prepare mentally and physically to put ourselves in the best position to enjoy it all, from the creativity of Halloween to cooking and shopping with our families—all of which involve being on our feet.

If you’re experiencing leg swelling, achiness, heaviness or fatigue, you could have an underlying venous health condition such as varicose veins. And the best time to start treatment is right now, when you can meet your compression stocking requirement in the cool of fall and winter. In addition, starting now means you can enjoy healthy legs this spring and summer when not only the earth will experience a great renewal.

You will, too.

Give us a call now if you are suffering from any of the following symptoms: leg pain • swelling • heaviness • fatigue • itching • burning • inflammation • skin discoloration • restless legs syndrome.
