In addition to its abundant aesthetic menu, Skin Care Solutions Elite MediSpa now offers hormone therapy and hair growth options

Known for its facial rejuvenation treatments, such as medical-grade facials, injectables and fillers, and the liquid facelift, Skin Care Solutions Elite MediSpa keeps evolving to offer wellness for the whole you.
Two of its newest services added to the menu are Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy and Pellet Hormone Replacement Therapy. These physician-directed procedures are now available in all three offices in Green, Medina and Wooster.
Restore Thinning Hair
For both men and women who have hair loss, thinning hair, or just want more volume, PRP therapy promotes new hair growth by increasing blood supply to the hair follicles.
“There are a lot of products marketed for hair loss, but most are ineffective with little to no scientific evidence to support they work. Research shows that Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy significantly increases total hair count and total hair density and thickness,” says Lindsey Fernandez, a certified nurse practitioner, who joined SCS Elite MediSpa this summer. “You can see results after three treatments at one-month intervals.”
PRP Therapy is a three-step procedure. Your blood is drawn (less than two ounces are required), then it is spun in a centrifuge device to separate the red and white cells from the plasma. This platelet-rich plasma is injected into your scalp in targeted areas to promote hair growth.
This same technology is also used for facial treatments, as the growth factors in the plasma play an important role in tissue healing and skin rejuvenation. Combined with microneedling, PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production to tighten skin, smooth wrinkles and improve overall skin texture and tone.
“PRP Therapy is an all-natural treatment because we are using the patient’s own blood,” says Lindsey, noting the procedure takes less than one hour.
Look Good, Feel Better
SCS Elite MediSpa’s mission is not only to help its patients look their best, but to also feel their best. To this end, it is now offering Pellet Hormone Replacement Therapy in all three of its offices.
“I have experienced firsthand how this is life changing,” says Nadine Bigham, a certified nurse practitioner who is a hormone specialist.
“When I started hormone therapy, I regained my energy. It made me feel like I did back in my 30s. Now I am helping clients feel better, too.”
“Hormone therapy can help both women and men,” she notes. “More men are opting for hormone therapy. It helps with fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and brain fog.”
SCS Elite MediSpa uses BioTe pellets that contain bioidentical hormones. These pellets are inserted subcutaneously in the upper buttocks and are replaced every three-and-a-half months for women and five to six months for men.
The process is simple. Patients fill out a health assessment and get blood work. Then Nadine reviews the lab results and customizes the amount of estrogen and testosterone doses, and implants the pellet under the skin. The pellet slowly releases the hormones into the bloodstream.
“We are optimizing hormones to help patients optimize their well-being,” says Nadine.
