Jackie Klemenc can make your Disney cruise wishes come true
By Jackie Klemenc, Disney Specialty Travel Agent
Welcome to the Part III narrative of my recent open-seas adventure aboard Disney’s new The Wish cruise ship.
It turns out, there are as many thrills to experience off the ship as on, with exotic ports to explore. Our favorite was Disney’s own private island in the Bahamas: Castaway Cay.
It’s a slice of paradise that includes sugar-sand beaches and bright turquoise water, with loads of activities for us, snorkeling, water slides, jungle gyms, parasailing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, kayaking, fishing and even the chance to pet baby stingrays. We spent the whole day there and couldn’t get our kids to leave and head back to the ship.
Disney has five ships in its fleet, but only one docks at Castaway Cay each day, so we literally had the island to ourselves.
When clients tell me that they aren’t “cruise people” and don’t “want be stuck on a ship,” I tell them they haven’t been on a Disney cruise. The adventure is non-stop.
Lastly, there’s been a nice response to these monthly Mimi Magazine stories. What many readers tell me is they’re afraid of the cost of a Disney Cruise or vacation. I’d like to dispel the misconception of sticker shock. There are many strategic ways around cost, including promotions I can apply and monthly payments, etc. No matter your budget, we can work with it.
Since I only book Disney vacations, I offer a “white glove” level of service and expertise.
Right now, there are great deals on cruises leaving Miami, Florida and spanning the Caribbean. It’s a new year, why not try a new vacation mode? The time to make your escape is right now.
