Lake County Humane Society's $50,000 matching gift

This holiday season an anonymous donor is giving hope to the homeless animals at Lake Humane Society (LHS.) They are matching each gift made before November 30 – dollar for dollar – up to $50,000.
The need is greater than ever. Last week, Lake Humane Society’s Humane Investigations Department investigated a report of animal neglect in Lake County. Due to the unsanitary living conditions, 9 dogs were removed from the premises. All dogs are now receiving treatment at LHS. Donations will help provide these dogs and the 148 other animals in Lake Humane’s care with a warm bed, nutritious food, medical treatment, loving care, and most importantly, hope, this holiday season.
“Whether it’s a hoarding situation, abandoned puppies, stray cats or a local pet owner in need, Lake Humane Society is here to help. Animals can’t speak up for themselves. Please, lend them your voice by making a donation today. Your gift will protect and rescue vulnerable pets in our Lake County community,” says Lori Caszatt, Interim Executive Director.
Since 1937, Lake Humane Society has been a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving pets in need through sheltering, humane investigations, community programs and education. Lake Humane Society does not receive any county, state or federal funding and relies on community donations to care for pets in need.
All donations towards this Matching Gift Opportunity will have double the impact on homeless animals in Lake County. Gifts will be matched up to $50,000. To help the Lake Humane Society take full advantage of this opportunity, please donate by November 30.
