Right now, area Lucky Shoes have a wide selection of fun and functional gift ideas from some of the hottest brands. Mimi recently sat down with Lucky’s marketing and operations director Shelia Trew, along with accessories buyer Jennifer Hines, and merchandise manager Emily McCullough,
“One of the hottest gifts right now are Fahlo bracelets,” Sheila says. “By purchasing one of
these beautiful, beaded bracelets, you help the wildlife conservancy of the animal you choose, plus can see where your animal is on the globe with an online tracking tool. There are six different species to purchase and track. Kids and adults love them.”
Handbags
Lucky is known for its selection of handbags—from Vera Bradley to Joy Susan. “Joy Susan has grown to be one of the leaders in the vegan leather market,” Jen says. “They come in a wide variety of eye-catching colors and beautiful silhouettes.”
And for a safe, modern twist on handbags, look to Baggallini. “This line was launched by two flight attendants in 1995, so they’re perfect for everyday use and travel,” Emily explains. “Plus, they feature RFID technology so no one can scan your credit cards without your knowledge. Their lightweight, water-resistant fabrics come in neutral core colors with splashes of seasonal, colors and patterns. And they have plenty of pockets to hold everything you need.”
“Be sure to check out CargoIt,” Shelia suggests. “These are created from cotton canvas. They’re lightweight, on trend, and we love their slightly vintage look.”
