Find out how the right hot tub can improve your life–by starting your day off with a soak.

One of the most common activities our hot tub clients engage in is a morning soak to start the day. Take Ed Unaitis, for example. He doesn’t just enjoy his hot tub occasionally; he gets in it every morning.

“The first thing I do each and every morning is roll out of bed, put on my swimming trunks and get in the hot tub,” says the 81-year-old Medina resident. “I couldn’t imagine starting the day without it.”

Several years ago, Ed even built an addition right off his bedroom to accommodate his spa.

“Since I use it every day, having the hot tub indoors is convenient for me,” he says. “I can get in it rain, shine, snow—any kind of weather. I use it 24/7/365.”

Ed says his primary purpose for the daily use of his spa is exercise.

“Every morning I do a series of exercises in the hot tub for about 20 minutes,” he explains.

“I do flutter kicks and knee bends. I relax and stretch and do hand and arm rotations. I have neck and back pain so I really focus on those areas. I rotate my neck ten times one way, then ten times the other way and I change seats so the jets hit both my upper and lower back.”

And he breathes. “I also do breathing exercises. I breathe in and out and hold my breath for 60 seconds at a time.”

Ed says he chose The Place because they are conveniently located, the spas are “first class,” and he had a good experience there 15 years ago when he bought his first spa.

“This time I traded in my old hot tub for a new one that better suited my health needs,” he says.

“The staff was kind and attentive and they helped me find the best tub for me. I even sat in them in the showroom to make sure the jets hit in the right places. I have no doubt that my hot tub has added 10 years to my life.”
