MDG Flooring America is adding a state-of-the-art kitchen and bath design studio called Kiba
By Ken McEntee
When you want to garner the best advice about an important topic, it may be best to ask an expert.
As astute Mimi readers know from perusing the informative columns that have appeared in this and other volumes, the go-to flooring experts in Medina and surrounding areas have been the managers at MDG Flooring America, which is now celebrating its 20th year in business.
For example, in recent columns Client Support Manager Christie Jackson has fielded questions about how to accent a room with hardwood floors, what are the pitfalls of properly installing a carpet and what waterproof flooring material provides rugged durability while beautifying a room. (The answer is luxury vinyl tile.)
Another question MDG customers have been asking, reveals President Steve Walbolt, is whether the family-operated retailer will ever expand into kitchen remodeling products like quality cabinets and countertops.
The answer: Yes. Very soon.
“The renovations you see going on inside our 5,000 square foot showroom are making room for the brand-new Kiba kitchen and bath studio, right inside MDG,” Steve announces. “Kiba Studios will make us a one-stop shop for everything you need to upgrade your floors and remodel your kitchen, bath, home office and even organize your closets.”
Along with cabinets and countertops, Kiba Studios, which will open in January, will feature plumbing fixtures, bathroom vanities, organizing systems and, of course, kitchen and bathroom flooring. Steve says the showroom-within-a-showroom will carry popular brands like Kemper, Fieldstone, Europa, James Martin, Wolf, Cambria, Hanstone and Moen.
“With the addition of Kiba Studios, our showroom will look a lot different,” Steve says. “What will stay the same will be our commitment to customer service, our attention to detail and the quality of our products. We’re just going to be carrying a lot more products to help you create your dream home.”
Kiba Studios will offer full design services and installation services.
“Just like in our flooring business, our skilled installation crews will be our own in-house employees,” Steve promises. “That ensures that they are properly trained to our high standards and that they are accountable. Our design team will work with you every step of the way to create a gorgeous, functional kitchen. And the cost of the design service will be deducted from the total price of your completed project, so the service is ultimately free.”
No appointment is needed to work with a Kiba Studios designer.
“You may want to bring some photos or drawings to help you express your ideas, and our design team will help to bring your vision to life,” Steve suggests. “The Kiba Studios team will bring the same philosophy of attentive customer service that our MDG Flooring customers have come to expect over the past 20 years. Whether it’s flooring materials or kitchen and bath remodeling, when you buy from us, we’re with you every step of the way until the job is finished.”
For 20 years, MDG has offered a full assortment of carpeting, tile and other floor covering.
“Our family has always taken pride in doing things right and providing superior quality service,” Steve says. “It’s important that we can compete with anybody on price, but it’s more important that our customers are satisfied throughout the sales and installation process.”
