For the past 20 years, most top hospitals and fine hotels have cleaned and sterilized soiled clothing and bed linens with oxidation systems that do not require detergent, bleach or chemicals.

Based on the same principal, the Oxidize It Detergent-less Laundry System, an American product, has just been introduced to the Cleveland area.

“We’re offering this new system so consumers can save money by eliminating detergents from their grocery list as well as being greener and kinder to the environment,” says Darrell Weeter, president of Oxidizer Pro, Inc. “Clothes are better sterilized because the O3 oxidizer created by Oxidize It eliminates infectious bacteria and viruses such as strep, staph and more.”

The new product is a natural extension of Darrell’s company, which has been in the home air cleaning industry for more than 30 years and specializes in reducing airborne contamination levels in the home.

Here’s How It Works
When the washing machine is turned on, Oxidize It is activated. An electrical charge splits the oxygen molecules and reassembles them to form O3, which is injected into the water by a patented interfusor, creating powerful oxidizers—including hydroxyl radicals and hydrogen peroxide—which destroy bacteria and “open” fabric fibers, releasing the soil.

Cost Savings You Can Bank On
Because it operates using cold water instead of warm or hot, there is a serious cost savings on heating water for each load. An average family can save on heating an average of 9,000 gallons of water per year.

“Based on current price averages, an average family of four can save up to $700 per year in heating water, detergent, fabric softener, and bleach,” Darrell says.

Oxidize It is designed to last 10 years, and it comes with a two-year limited warranty. It is wall-mounted near the top of the washer and is about the size of a toaster.

In addition to saving money, the system also saves time. Darrell reports that clothing washed with Oxidize It dries more quickly because soaps aren’t left in the fabric. You’ll also save time because you’ll no longer need to sort clothes by lights and darks, he says.

“In addition—because detergents can cause fibers to break down and shred over time—the life of your fabrics is extended as well,” he notes.

The Eco-friendly Touch
In addition to eliminating chemicals that are discharged into the environment, you can also feel good about eliminating plastic detergent and bleach containers that clutter landfills.

“And the system is easy on electricity, too, consuming only around 25 watts—less than an average light bulb,” Darrell points out. “Plus, it draws electricity only when the washing machine is operating. And it’s beneficial to those who suffer from skin irritations and allergic reactions from detergents.”
