Since moving back to Broadview Heights last May—the hometown where he started Next Level Auto Detailing in 2009—Shawn Medina has been non-stop busy. (In fact, he says, he still has boxes left to unpack.)
With his elite level of detailing services, polishing, restoration and advanced paint coatings, if you happen to notice a perfectly gleaming automobile on the road around town, Shawn has probably had a hand in making it look that way.
“I have a passion and the drive for perfection,” says the life-long car enthusiast. “I can take a car back to looking as beautiful, if not more so, than the day it left the lot.”
In short, his business lives up to its name by providing next-level expertise and products.
After machine-polishing your car for 20-30 hours, Shawn recommends going the extra mile and protecting its finish.
He recently introduced a new ceramic coating, SB3, to join his existing one, Ceramic Pro. His is one of only three shops in Ohio to offer this high-end system. And for protection from rocks and chips, he also offers the Xpel clear film.
“It creates a hydrophobic layer that repels rocks and other road debris, preventing chips on the car’s surface,” says Shawn.
The result is showroom stunning, with a gleaming finish so shiny it looks like wet paint.
He offers a variety of packages as well as a la carte interior and exterior detailing services, corrective paint services and window tinting.
“Spring is the busiest time of year for me,” says Shawn. “I’m fixing rock chips and damage from winter potholes and road salts. Most of my clients know to get on my schedule early, as I book up quickly.”
Calling all Car Lovers
As a respected local expert, Shawn was asked by the City of Broadview Heights to orchestrate the car cruise-in component of Nights in the Heights, set for Friday, July 2, Friday, August 6, and Friday, September 3, each from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Broadview Heights Recreation Center.
“I’ve teamed up with Definitive Motorwerk to put together a selection of classic cars and exotic ones with really cool after-market modifications, including Ferraris and Lamborghinis, as well as other exotic and muscle cars,” says Shawn.
Meet the VehicleBros
From specialty cars to muscle cars and even “daily drivers,” people often consult with Shawn about the value of their cars, especially after he restores them to showroom quality.
To meet the need, along with his brother Joey, Shawn started a new business called VehicleBros to buy and sell cars.
“We are currently on Facebook and are starting a YouTube channel to promote cars for sale,” he says. “Unlike a lot of car salesmen, Joey and I know everything there is to know about cars. We’ve raced them and spent our whole lives around them. People trust us since they know we’re open and honest about every detail in a car’s history. Our experience lends peace of mind.”
He says since they have a lift, they can put a car up on it so customers can inspect the undercarriage as well.
