During the past year of pandemic, many people forged new negative habits, or defaulted to prior ones.

Not surprisingly, health and life coach Heather Kuchar, founder of Healthy Attractions wellness studio in Fairlawn, has been in demand.

Her programs provide a support system for men and women to regain their well-being.

“Never before has the mind-body connection meant so much,” she says. “People are in protection mode now, stepping away from all the fear of the last year and moving toward ways to nourish their body and soul.”

Heather works in partnership with each client to create a customized, step-by-step plan to transform the body, the mind, your outlook, and your life. Her three programs include the Two-Week Detox, Six-Week Self Discovery and 90-Day Transformation. Included with the programs are yoga classes in her Zen-like yoga studio within Healthy Attractions.

Heather says she made the decision to drop the pricing for these programs this year. So many people are hurting and she doesn’t want her coaching to be a burden.

Clear the Clutter
The first step in any of her programs is to clear the clutter, whether it’s slowing you down in the workplace, your home, the car, your wallet, closet or pantry.

“Disarray can become overwhelming on many levels,” she says. “We create ways to clear the space around you, find clarity and move forward. Oftentimes people don’t even realize how clutter is dragging them down.”

She explains the big positive in addition to finding clarity is that decluttering your life will make more time in your day.

“Making daily lists is also a move forward,” she says. “It’s helpful to take pause and prioritize the different sectors of your life. I teach people how to circle back to their priorities if they get off track.”

One of the tools she suggests is to find “anchors” for people to use as encouraging daily reminders of how they are making positive changes.

“Anchors are sensory-based,” she says. “They could be a favorite song, a photo, a quote, or a smell that reminds them of a memory, like the beach. For one client, it was a dress form in her closet draped with a favorite dress she wanted to fit into again.”

Time to Go National
In addition to health and life coaching, Heather is in expansion mode, working on writing a book, formulating her supplement line and collaborating with other coaches and medical practitioners in the area.

One exciting development is she’s been asked to appear as a guest on a new television show that will be similar to The View, but in the health and wellness arena.

“It was truly an honor to be asked and I cannot wait for the experience,” she says.

A Parting Shot of Motivation
Once clients settle in for their sessions with Heather, they know to take a peek at her white board on the wall, which offers up a daily motivational quote.

The one that appeared on the board the day I interviewed her for this story was profoundly connected to everything we chatted about…tapping into the power we all have within us to uplift our lives.

“You are the only one who can limit your greatness.”
