Shaun Parker’s team of seasoned professionals is ready to take on your next home remodeling project
By Patricia Nugent
It’s said that nothing succeeds like success.
Just ask Shaun Parker. Over the years, his plumbing and electrical contracting company has followed a natural evolution to become a full-service home remodeler.
“Our customers were happy with my team’s work and kept asking us if they knew of a renovation company that could do an equally good job,” he says.
He founded Build Em High remodeling last year.
“Everyone is so busy nowadays,” he says. “My customers appreciate that I’ve put together a team of craftsmen who handle every aspect of a renovation, whether residential or commercial.”
After many successful jobs, he decided to further serve his clients by opening a beautiful 3,000-square-foot showroom called the Build Em High Home Center in Broadview Heights.
A True One-Stop Shop
Gorgeous displays within the showroom feature all the latest and greatest samples in flooring, cabinetry, countertops and tile work, as well as hardware, sinks, lighting and more.
“In addition to all types of hard surface and vinyl plank flooring, we also offer carpet and area rugs,” he says. “For counters, we carry a nice selection of Cambria, which is engineered quartz that provides a natural stone look with extreme durability.”
When it comes to custom work, like creating a shower in the master bathroom, Shaun’s team of installers is creative and seasoned. They are all certified to install specialty Schluter shower drains that fit these larger jobs.
People who like to DIY their home improvement will also find the ideal shopping experience here.
“We keep our best-selling lines in stock, so people know they can simply grab and go,” says Shaun. “People know our reputation of offering only top-quality brands.”
And for those who may not have a vision for their renovation, Build Em High has an interior decorator on staff who can help with design work.
At the end of the day, Shaun stays true to his roots in the business, also serving clients looking for only plumbing and electrical work.
“We do any necessary home repairs or upgrades, including whole panel upgrades and plumbing work,” he says. “People tell me there aren’t a lot of skilled electricians and plumbers that they trust out there, so we are happy to fulfill this need.”
It Starts with Community
Shaun has always been interested in building relationships within the Broadview-Seven Hills area. Many of those connections were made on the baseball field, where he coaches.
“Four years ago, I founded a girls’ travel softball team so the girls would have as much opportunity as the boys did in our area,” says Shaun, whose daughter is a notable player. “Today we offer scholarships and travel all over Ohio squaring off against other teams.”
He treats his clients like they are neighbors and friends, because, well, in most cases they are.
“I love it that no matter where I go in the community, I run into someone we’ve done work for,” he adds. “At the end of the year, I throw a huge party and invite all my customers over. The interactions we forge during projects keep on going.”
He says it’s also important to him to provide a living for the people who work for him.
“Knowing I’m providing a platform for these guys to be able to take care of their families is meaningful for me,” he says. “All my employees work only for me. I trust them explicitly and they never let me—or the customer—down.”
