If you perceive your training as pleasurable, rather than a chore, it’s easier to make it a priority.

When the kids are out of school, summertime schedules tend to become more unpredictable and erratic. Oftentimes, all it takes is a few skipped workouts to send you down a slippery slope.

The mission at Alloy Personal Training is to prevent that from happening.

One of the ways we do this is by helping members put their “why” at the forefront of everything they do. Once they prioritize their goals, motivation, accountability and perseverance rise to the surface.

Our system of trainer-led, small-group workouts is tailor made to get people past mental barriers and busy schedules.

Here are a few tips for keeping a consistent training schedule:

  • Play to your strengths. If you’re not a “morning person,” don’t schedule your workouts in the morning. Everyone has a sweet spot. We offer 55 weekly classes in the mornings, midday and evenings. And we allow members to use them flexibly, whenever they choose, to fit their busy schedules.
  • Social benefits. If you perceive your training as pleasurable, rather than a chore, it’s easier to make it a priority. Our small-group classes provide a fun social outlet and sense of community. If you know someone will be waiting there for you, that’s a powerful motivator and you show up more.
  • Schedule smart. Putting your workouts on your calendar as you would other appointments or meetings can be a game-changer. This little mindset shift will set you up for success and benefit your fitness and every other facet of your well-being, including your mood and your sleep.
