The freshly opened Kiba Studios kitchen and bath showroom provides customers with a relaxed way to plan the perfect kitchen

As a kitchen and bath designer, Sammi Vargo, of Kiba Studios kitchen and bath showroom, in Medina, says she gets satisfaction from helping her customers reach their goals.
“A lot of people wait and save up for years to be able to do big projects like kitchen remodeling,” Sammi says. “Once they get to that point when they’re ready to take on such a project, it’s empowering to be able to help them make their dream come true.”
After working at another kitchen and bath showroom for five years, Sammi joined the brand-new Kiba Studio, located inside the MDG Flooring America showroom, in January. The studio, she says, offers a one-stop shop for everything needed to upgrade kitchens and bathrooms, with everything from quality cabinets, countertops, plumbing accessories and organizing systems to flooring—in which MDG has specialized for more than 20 years. The showroom-within-a-showroom offers popular brands like:
• Kemper
• Fieldstone
• Europa
• James Martin
• Wolf
• Cambria
• Hanstone
• Moen
“We make it convenient for people to plan their new kitchen or bath project,” Sammi assures. “Instead of having to go one place to pick out cabinets and countertops, then go somewhere else for flooring, we can do it all right here in one place. The friendly, expert customer service that MDG has provided to its customers truly extends into Kiba Studios.
Your dream project can start right at Sammi’s desk.
“Appointments aren’t necessary, but I would highly recommend making one to ensure that I am available when you arrive and that I can block out a time to concentrate fully on your project,” she advises. “I will sit down with you and go over your plans and vision in detail. I’ll take you through the showroom to see our full product selection and go from there. I enjoy meeting with customers and showing them our variety of door styles and colors to help them improve their homes.”
Once cabinets and countertops are selected, customers can then take a short stroll across the showroom to explore MDG’s vast selection of hardwood, ceramic, luxury vinyl tile and other flooring to find the perfect match. Or, Sammi says, some people choose to select their flooring first. The next step after making the ideal selections is a home visit to get precise measurements.
“Just like in our flooring business, our skilled installation crews are our own in-house employees—not subcontractors,” adds Steve Walbolt, co-owner of the family-owned MDG. “That ensures they are properly trained to our high standards and that they are accountable.”
Kiba Studio, Steve says, is a perfect partner for the flooring retailer. The kitchen and bath studio is affiliated with Flooring America, the national buying cooperative that allows independent businesses like MDG to offer prices and benefits that compete with the corporate big box retailers—but with the helpful and knowledgeable customer service shoppers may find lacking at the big boxes.
“Our family has always taken pride in doing things right and providing superior quality service,” Steve says. “It’s important that we can compete with anybody on price, but it’s more important that our customers are satisfied throughout the sales and installation process. Customers will find the same philosophy at Kiba Studio.”
