The new X-Golf puts a fresh spin on simulated indoor golfing

It’s only fitting that the owner of the new X-Golf in Broadview Heights is a hometown boy and an avid golfer.
Ron Salerno, who last month opened the newest indoor golf simulator in the area, played golf on the Brecksville-Broadview Heights high school team in the ‘80s and now is sharing his passion for golf with others.
“It is the ultimate dream to come back home and open a business in the community I grew up in,” says Ron. “X-Golf is a place to train, play and entertain.”
Whether you want to hone your golf skills or just have a fun night out with friends, you can play 50 different courses from around the world, including Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, that are tailored for all ages and abilities.
The simulator technology not only measures the motion vector of the golf ball, but also the movement of the golf club such as path, angle of attack, trajectory and velocity—allowing it to replicate the golf ball flight, including fades, draws, hooks and slices.
“Our advanced golf simulator technology makes indoor golf so realistic with high-definition graphics and lasers that track ball spin,” says Ron. “It is the closest thing you can get to outdoor golf inside.
“It also allows the average golfer to participate in national tournaments and compete with others at the same level across the country.”
X-Golf is hosting leagues and tournaments year-round, including participating in a national tournament in which the winning foursome will win a golf trip to The Travelers Championship PGA Event.
Personalized to men, ladies and kids, X-Golf offers customized lessons taught by PGA Teaching Professional Willie Yacknow.
With seven golf simulators, along with a full bar and food menu, X-Golf is an ideal place to host parties, from birthday celebrations to bachelor parties to corporate outings.
“Our menu currently features gourmet hot dogs, chicken wings, flatbreads and our signature pretzel appetizer, but we will be expanding our offerings,” notes Ron.
