Seven races remain in the City of Green’s 2023 Green Great Eight Race Series, meaning you still have a chance to participate in five of them to earn your commemorative hoodie. Last year the series raised more than $150,000 for nonprofits and involved 3,500 runners and walkers.

Raintree 4th of July 5K
The next race is the Raintree 4th of July 5K, presented by the City of Green. It’s being held Tuesday, July 4, at Raintree Golf and Event Center, 4350 Mayfair Road.

The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. with a $30 preregistration fee ($35 day of race). The 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk is at 8:45 a.m. with a $10 preregistration fee ($15 day of race). The first 300 people to register will receive a soft short-sleeved t-shirt.

The race, which benefits First Tee Greater Akron, takes runners around the beautiful Raintree Golf Course where you’ll find fast fairways and gorgeous golf cart paths. This family fun event is perfect for participants aged 5 and over.
