The Village at Hinckley Oaks is the newest senior-friendly apartment home community in the area—and it’s already the talk of the town
By Patricia Nugent
Hinckley’s newest neighborhood—The Village at Hinckley Oaks—features 117 luxury apartment homes perfectly suited to the active lifestyles of those who are 55 and over. Set to open soon, the fully furnished model is now ready for tours.
“We created a neighborhood that checks all the boxes of the lifestyle people are looking for,” says Community Manager Megan Thacker. “The upscale homes are complemented by two clubhouses, a fitness center, walking trails, a golf simulator and loads of activities. They are looking for an enhanced quality of life that meets their needs and ease of flexibility. It’s time for them to stop needlessly worrying about everything that comes with owning a home.”
Leasing Manager Jennifer Rucker offers tours to prospective residents. She explains the neighborhood is technically a majority senior apartment community, which means that 80% of residences must be occupied by at least one person who is 55 and older. The remaining 20% of home renters can be younger than 55.
High-End Materials
Jennifer says the feedback they are getting from those who have already signed leases is that they love the light, bright, wide-open floor plans and are looking forward to the wide array of amenities and social activities that are planned.
“Each home’s décor has a nice flow, and the neutral colors go with any design style,” says Jennifer.
Choose from eight floor plans for two-bedroom homes, ranging in size from 1,293 square feet to 1,564 square feet.
The amenities include:
• Quartz countertops with white subway tile backsplash
• Five-star energy-efficient stainless-steel appliances
• Pet friendly, with a maximum of three pets per unit
• Walk-in closets, walk-in pantries, and loads of storage
• Private keyless front entry
• Single-story and two-story living
• High-end cabinetry with soft-close doors and drawers
• Luxury vinyl plank flooring, and plush carpeting in the bedrooms
• High ceilings with crown molding
• Ceiling fans in the living rooms and bedrooms
• Attached one and two-car garages, including shelving for extra storage
• Covered or screened-in porches and patios
• 24/7 emergency maintenance
“Residents can enjoy the two clubhouses, which surround our relaxing pond and waterfall,” says Jennifer. “One of them houses our leasing office and exercise facility with state-of-the-art equipment including a treadmill, bicycle and elliptical, free weights and a subscription to a mirror exercise service. The other includes the lounge area with a full kitchen and golf simulator. In between the clubhouses is an inviting outdoor area with an outdoor kitchen, firepit, and, to the side, a pickleball court. Look for the lounge to host a full slate of activities, such as bingo or wine and cheese nights. Residents can also rent the space for private parties.”
So Much to Do
“We chose Hinckley for its beautiful, rural setting,” says Megan. “With the nearby Metroparks system, trails and ledges, residents can explore their own great outdoors. And in our neighboring cities of Brunswick and Medina, there are many colorful dining amenities and cultural pursuits. We are near I-71, which makes it convenient for when families visit, too.”
