Tour tickets to the Lake County YMCA Dream House have become one of the hottest draws of summer.

Designed and built by ProBuilt Homes, the nearly 3,000-square-foot house is worth more than $700,000.

Several of the region’s top designers volunteered their talent: Kyle Baker, of Kyle L. Baker Interiors; Samantha Bryan, Decorganize It; Maria Perossa, Maria A. Perossa Interiors; Katie Ryan, ProBuilt Homes; and Kelly Velikonya-Patel, Bold Interiors CLE.

New this year, the designers worked collaboratively as a team instead of individuals.

“We didn’t know each other before the Dream House, so it was a pleasure bringing together our different strengths cohesively on a project as rewarding as this,” says Kelly, sharing the paint color they selected for much of the home: a creamy, cozy hue called Shoji White from Sherwin-Williams.

The darling designers, along with Lake County YMCA CEO Dick Bennett, were kind enough to invite Mimi to a VIP preview walk-through of the house before its official opening.

It did not disappoint.

With a modern transitional appeal, the stunning décor includes a palette of neutrals, grays and creams with a dramatic injection of black in many rooms. The furniture and lighting are to-die-for, as are thoughtful organic and industrial elements like rattan chandeliers, matte black dome lights, leather seating and live-edge tables.

Don’t miss the soaring herringbone tile that draws your eye up the 9-foot ceilings and custom stainless hood in the kitchen, or the luxurious layering of textures in the master bath.

“With so much natural light from soaring windows and an open-concept living space, this highly functional and livable home is ideal for anyone who loves to entertain,” says Katie.

According to Dick, “The generosity of the designers in devoting their time year after year to this worthy project is critical to our continued success. We hope their design inspiration is appreciated by all those who tour the house. The feedback so far has been amazing.”
