Treating high butt pressure
By Dr. David Gutman, Advanced Hemorrhoid Specialists
Pressure from hemorrhoids in your butt can make you feel like you always have to go, even after you’ve just gone. See, the sphincter muscle doesn’t know the difference between hemorrhoids pushing on it or a bowel movement, so that pressure sends the signal that it’s time to go—even when it isn’t.
Bending or sitting can exacerbate the feeling, sending you rushing to the bathroom to prevent an accident. And after you finish going, you might feel like you still need to leave another deposit.
The more you push, the more you inflate your hemorrhoids, the more you’ll feel the pressure—and the need to go. It’s a vicious cycle that, for some, consumes their days.
If you have high butt pressure, I have two treatments to eliminate the problem, and your constant need to go, once and for all.
One reduces the blood flow that feeds the hemorrhoids, improving inflammation and causing them to shrink. The other is better suited to removing larger hemorrhoids. Both take just a few seconds to do. Since they are performed in an area with no nerve endings, they can be administered right in the comfort of my office without anesthesia.
There is virtually no pain, no prep needed, there are no major restrictions, and you don’t have to take time off of work. Consultations are free of charge, and our procedures are covered by insurance.
